Are you fed up with the car? Do you want to stretch your legs? Do you think walking is good for you? Here you can find all the facilities and places you are looking for.

Sites and monuments where you have to walk a little - or a lot!

Take out an audioguide and follow the 'In the Steps of Napoleon' circuit. It will take you on a tour through the centre of La Roche-sur-Yon. It normally takes about one and a half hours, but you can go at your own pace. In summer, you can also follow the guided tours on a Segway or an electric scooter!

There are several parks, gardens and green areas where you can take walks to suit all tastes: Le Plessis-Bergeret, Parc des Oudairies, Parc de Beaupuy, the green Yon Valley, La Chaize Forest, etc.

For the more athletic, several sporting activities of different kinds are held in the area, two of which are a particular draw for enthusiastic runners: La Bicentenaire and La Josephine.
